Introduction

Welcome to deviantART's Final Fantasy IX club. This club is dedicated to the brilliant PlayStation RPG made by Square-Enix.

Final Fantasy IX takes the popular series back to its early roots - to the world of black mages, Moogles and the overall atmosphere which seemed to have been replaced in the two previous Final Fantasies. Fortunately it is executed wonderfully. So, as my all-time favorite game, Final Fantasy IX fully deserves a club.

Club Explanation and Information

Joining the FF9 club

If you feel about FF9 the same way we do and would like to join the club, here is what you need to know:

1. If you want to join the club, send us a note, and state which race you want to be (read below). Any notes sent to the admins requesting to join the club will not be accepted! The title must be about joining the club and must be understandable.

2. After a while, you will receive a note saying that you were accepted, and you will be added to the member list. There is no guarantee that we will reply immediately or even in the next few days, but it is unlikely that it will take more than a week.

Promoting the Club

Once you've joined, please do anything you can to promote the club:

1. Put a link to the club in your journal by tying :iconfinalfantasy9club:.

2. Tell your friends and other FF9 fans about this club.

3. Put a link in your signature.

You do want to club to get bigger, right?

What's that about races?

In this club, unlike the ~finalfantasy7club you must choose which race you belong to when you join. The race you choose is the race which represents you, and your race can earn experience points according to the amount of art the races' members contribute for the club.

Which races can I join?

There are currently 6 races. The races you can join are:

1. Black Mage (resides in the Black Mage Village)
2. Chocobo (resides in the Chocobo's Paradise)
3. Moogle (resides in Mognet Central)
4. Qu (resides in Qu's Marsh)
5. Genome (resides in Terra)
6. Human (resides in Gaia)

Why Should I Join the Club?

Well, why not?! As a Final Fantasy 9 fan, you should feel obligated to show how big a fan you are. Not only will you a feel a certain satisfaction joining this club, you will also be able to submit your artwork and participate in art contests.

Contests?

Yup! This is where you show your real love for FF9 - every few months there will be an art contest in which you will be asked to draw Final Fantasy IX fanart with a selected subject. For instance, you can be asked to draw a picture of Zidane and Dagger in different outfits, or a battle scene between two chosen characters. These are just examples, the real contests will begin once there are enough members to compete.

Submitting Fanart

If you would like to submit your Final Fantasy VII fanart to the club, send a note with a title and a comment, and it will be added to the scraps section. Every month one submission will be chosen as the best of the month and will become a featured deviation. So, er, submit away!
